A metal keyed control joint is economical and more manageable than having to strip away and cut checkerboards in the cement. You can get them with square knock-out holes for dowels which are better than round for load transfer. Our stakes provide a locking mechanism which eliminates floating and high spots. Stake positioning is not required to be exact so it saves time, and non-removable caps seals joints.

Screed Key for Quality Edges

Those beautiful lines on concrete buildings aren't by accident. Chamfer and radius form round smooth curves on the outside, while screed key makes those joints where the wall meets the floor flush and smooth so they may be kept from becoming uneven and impact load. Those joints are reinforced with the addition of a metal keyway to keep every slab in its place.

Bulkhead forms have been used in the past but required a lot of preparation as well as stripping after the slab was formed. Screed usage eliminates it all, making it possible to pour the entire slab at the same time instead of pieces. It minimizes cracking whether on a highway or gymnasium floor.
