Acids, hydrogen sulfide gases and alkalis have little effect on the mastic sealer over the life of the building. The list of the places it has been used since 1968 is impressive and extensive ranging from tunnels to animal theme parks. The product bonds with cured concrete surfaces and fuses to cement during the curing process. Synko-flex is used in cold joints such as walls or slab joints and footings since it doesn't depend on swelling when in contact with water for its watertight seal and capabilities.

Hydro-flex is a pre-formed coil of butyl rubber which swells in the presence of water and fills empty spaces left by the curing process or uneven surfaces. The product maintains an enduring pressure seal for joints that are not subject to movement.

There is so much more to construction with cement than the general public is aware of. Architectural concrete forms are for structures and liners can be placed in them to provide texture. These concrete form accessories are generally used indoors but not always.
