PVC Control Joints and Rubber Control JointsControl joints are vertical separations built into a concrete masonry wall to reduce restraint and permit longitudinal movement. They are located where cracking is likely to occur due to excessive tensile stress.BoMetals masonry control joints are available in both PVC and Rubber compounds. They are standard black in color in 4' lengths. Special lengths are available on request.
PVC Weep TubesThe location and embedment of the PVC weep tubes allows both the drainage of water away from and the circulation of air into cavity walls helping prevent moisture related issues. Bometals Weep Tubes are manufactured from clear rigid PVC with the properties required to maintain the structural integrity to assure their design characteristics and function.
Block CapBlock Caps control the flow of grout and help hold down costs, when engineers specify the bond beam reinforcing system. Bond beam blocks are concrete masonry units that allow vertical reinforcement to extend through them. Block caps close off the open vertical cells that do not contain reinforcing and do not require the grout. |
